Categories of Spaces in Moody and Jones Libraries

The reservable spaces in Moody and Jones Library fall into four categories:

Event Spaces
Spaces for public events

Instructional Spaces
Spaces designed primarily for instruction through lecture, active learning, or seminar-style teaching

Meeting Spaces
Reserved for use by Baylor employees, with occasional allowances for students, for holding work-related meetings

Student Reservable Spaces
Spaces available for reservation by individual students and student groups

Graduate Research Center

The Graduate Research Center (GRC) is located on the second floor of Poage Library and is accessible from either the Poage Library entrance or the second floor corridor between Moody and Jones Library. Access is restricted to faculty, staff, and currently registered graduate students.

Student Group Requests

For student groups wishing to use the University Libraries as a space for a gathering or event, they must first receive permission from the Office of Student Activities by reading and following the Expectations for Events Involving Expressive Activity policy on the Student Activities website.

Groups found to be promoting or planning events in the Libraries without receiving prior permission from the OSA and the Libraries will be asked to discontinue the event.
