Marketing & Communications
The Office of Marketing & Communications for Information Technology and University Libraries provides integrated marketing resources to the division of Information Technology and University Libraries at Baylor University. We provide branding, marketing and public relations strategy for our clients, along with expertise in graphic design, digital platforms, copywriting, photography, social media and video production.
Our team works collaboratively with the leadership and departments of the University Libraries and Information Technology Services to offer a wide range of marketing, public relations, advertising and branding services. We see effective integrated marketing as critical to maintaining our division's positive image as well as assuring the success of its programming, services, events and projects.
The Process
Since our division serves Baylor by providing a wide array of resources for faculty, staff, students and many beyond the university, marketing and communication pervades all of our activities. If you are planning an event, launching a new service, promoting a project or just getting the word out about your department, we can help you deliver your message effectively and on time. The key to success is to include our team in the initial planning stages. Bringing us in early gives us plenty of time to create and execute a marketing strategy based on your needs and your desired outcomes.
Our Services
Graphic Design
We can create custom design executions for signage, event promotion, websites and more. We also work to ensure planned marketing executions include the proper use of Baylor University wordmarks, logos, taglines, etc. so that Libraries/ITS materials are in line with Baylor's brand guidelines.
Promotional Material Design
We can help you design a wide range of promotional materials including (but not limited to):
- Brochures
- Promotional signs, flyers, posters
- Digital signage
- Giveaways / promotional items like mugs, stickers, cups, pens, notepads and more
Social Media Management
Partner with our social media manager to ensure your event is publicized via the official social media accounts of the Libraries/ITS. We'll help get the word out before, during and after your event so you get the best social media buzz possible.
Feature Writing
We offer a full range of professional writing services, including press releases, copy for website posts, custom emails and more. Plus, we conduct in-depth interviews and write feature-length stories for use in various platforms including print magazines, blog posts, social media and more. Grant Writing
Our department is home to the Libraries/ITS research administrator who can help you discover grant opportunities, write applications and manage the pre-award process. Promotional Materials Ordering/Vendor Relations
We are your one-stop source for ordering promotional materials through our local and national vendors. We can help you design, order and fulfill any promotional item you can dream of, from t-shirts and branded merchandise to die-cut print pieces, banners, giveaway items and more.
