New University Writing Center Opens in Moody Memorial Library

During Christmas break renovations began on the second floor of Moody Memorial Library to accommodate the transition of the Writing Center from the basement of the Carroll Science building. The renovated space will enhance the visibility and expand access to the Writing Center. The renovation is scheduled to be completed this week and the new University Writing Center will open soon. New Data Scholar Program Provides Workshops to Enhance Research

In the fall, Research and Engagement Librarian Joshua Been and the data scholar team offered a series of workshops designed to enhance data management and analysis skills for research. A group of 16 graduate students, undergraduate students, faculty, and staff completed a series of these workshops to earn the title of Qualified Data Scholar. Baylor Libraries Teaching Fellows Program Commences Its Fifth Year

The Baylor Libraries will once again offer summer fellowships to Baylor teaching faculty. The competitive program provides a stipend to selected fellows who devote one week during the summer to exploring a special collection of the Baylor Libraries. Our expert librarians help these fellows weave these primary resources into their curricula. Presentations by the 2018 Baylor Libraries Teaching Fellows will take place on March 26 at 3:30 p.m. in the Moody 104 Active Learning Lab. Come and learn more about the program! Recent Acquisition Sheds Light on Pre-Republic Era of Texas History

The Baylor Libraries' Texas Collection recently acquired an 1836 letter written by an officer of the U.S.S. Warren that provides previously unknown details about the famous Invincible and Pocket incident. Click “learn more” to read about this important acquisition.
