Cultural Heritage Preservation Week features Storytelling

The West Waco Library & Genealogy Center will host two events in honor of the 4th Annual Cultural Heritage Preservation Week at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19, 2013. On Thursday evening, Eric Ames, Curator of Digital Collections for the Baylor University Libraries, will present on the basics of digital preservation. Vivian Rutherford of the Heart of Texas Storytelling Guild and Beth Farwell, Assistant Director for Baylor University's Central Libraries will speak on storytelling during Friday's session.

Waco's Cultural Heritage Preservation Week is set aside each year to promote and educate our community on the importance of protecting and preserving our local culture. This event is a joint project combining expertise from the Waco-McLennan County Library and Baylor University Libraries.
