Drawing Power: Original Editorial Cartoons Exhibit

DateSeptember 1 - December 20, 2008
LocationPoage Legislative Library, Moody and Jones Libraries
DescriptionEditorial cartoons have been an important feature in our country’s newspapers even before the original colonies declared independence to become the United States of America. With recognizable symbols, caricatures and humor, editorial cartoonists have provoked readers to think and clarify their own opinions about the hot topics of the day.

The W. R. Poage Legislative Library is celebrating the art of editorial cartooning with a new exhibition titled "Drawing Power: Original Editorial Cartoons". Attendees can view over 100 editorial cartoons created by 18 cartoonists on display throughout the Moody, Jones and Poage Libraries.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. It runs through December 20.
