Digital Library Services and Systems

What do we do?
We are the Digital Library Services and Systems group in Library and Academic Technology Services. We manage the technology-based resources and services within the library including, but not limited to:
  • Assist with collection development for electronic resources
  • Manage BearCat, the Libraries' online catalog
  • Digitize the scholarly materials that are found in libraries throughout the campus and make them accessible through the Baylor Digital Collections
  • The Libraries web site
  • Manage library course reserves
  • Provide off-campus access to electronic resources
  • Implement Open URL Technology, represented by BU InfoLinks
  • Provide RefWorks and RefShare Bibliographic Management Service
  • Provide TurnItIn Plagiarism Prevention/Detection Service
Who Are We?
Brenda Anderson
Information Specialist / Course Reserves
Manages the library's course reserves, both print and electronic.

Stephen Bolech
Academic Consultant-Audio/Video Digitization
Digitizes and documents rare, fragile and sensitive audio/video materials for the Baylor University Libraries.

Billie Peterson-Lugo
Director, Resources and Collection Management Services
Manages the RCMS area and provides assistance to library staff and clients with BEARdocs, electronic resources, Refworks, TurnItIn, seminars, copyright questions, and more.

Allyson Riley
Digitization Technology Support Specialist
Coordinates workflow, student worker training, and technology support for digitization projects.

Denyse Rodgers
Assistant Director, Library Systems
Provides assistance to library staff and clients with BearCat, electronic resources, technology purchasing, teleconferences, webinars, and more.

Darryl Stuhr
Assistant Director for Digital Preservation Services
Identifies, coordinates, and manages digitization projects that are developed from library and other university research resources.
