Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Baylor University has canceled all study abroad programs. This cancellation is necessary to support the global effort to fight the spread of the virus and to ensure the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and the wider community. We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience as a result of the cancellation.

We will resume the Academy in 2021. If you haven’t graduated by then, we hope that you will consider applying for next year’s program.  We are committed to making it the best offering of the program yet.

Any student who has completed his or her first year of law school by July 25, 2020 may apply to the program. Acceptance of any credit or grade for any course taken in the program is subject to determination by your home school. Be sure to discuss The Academy with your course adviser before enrolling in the program.

Financial Aid (Baylor Students)

If you require financial aid to attend the program, you must see Jenny Branson, Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, by April 13, 2020. Contact Dean Branson at 254-710-4842 or at Jenny Branson to set up your meeting.

Financial Aid (Non-Baylor Students)

The deadline to notify Stephen Rispoli no later than April 13, 2020. If you need financial aid to cover your tuition and other fees, please note each of those fee deadlines.

Caveat

It is unlikely that participation in the Baylor Academy of the Advocate at St Andrews program may be used to accelerate graduation. Students interested in acceleration should refer to their home schools to review this issue in light of ABA Standard 305, Interpretation 4.

Clicking the "Apply Now" button will direct you to the Academy of the Advocate Application on the Bears Abroad website (bearsabroad.baylor.edu). Clicking the "Apply Now" button again will start a new application.
