Baylor Law School is always looking for ways to stay connected with Baylor University and to promote the law school to undergraduate students who are interested or might be interested in law school. The annual "Day of the Bear" is the opportunity to do just that.
Last year was the first year for Baylor Law to have a booth at Diadeloso. This year it will return with information about the school, a bungee inflatable, law school backpacks, koozies, t-shirts and candy.
Last year, Dani Brown, recruitment and communications coordinator for the law school, presented the idea of participating in Diadeloso. The idea allowed for the Baylor Law School to distribute information and demonstrate its Baylor spirit. So, the booth became a reality and received a positive response.
"The response was wonderful," said Becky Beck-Chollett, assistant dean of admissions for the law school. "Many faculty and students were surprised to see the law school represented at Baylor. Last year, we distributed Baylor Law t-shirts and it was extremely rewarding to see students walking around Dia wearing our t-shirts."
Due to the positive response, the booth will return this year.
"The admission team is always up for a challenge so we decided to see if could outdo what we did last year," Beck-Chollett said.
