As a boy, Joe Allbritton spent his summers working in the kitchen of his family's cafeteria business. Born into a Baptist family as the sixth of seven children in D'Lo, Miss., Allbritton's family moved to Texas when he was a small child.

An article written by Luke Meier, assistant professor of law at Baylor Law School, is generating academic interest in various publications. "Facial Challenges and Separation of Powers," which was published in the Indiana Law Journal in 2010, was recently cited, and discussed, in the Hart and Wechsler's "The Federal Courts and the Federal System" 2011 Supplement.

For the 14th time since 2001, Baylor Law School students claimed the top pass rate on the Texas State Bar Exam with a 95.88 percent success rate, the highest pass rate for students from the nine Texas law schools. Of the 97 Baylor students who took the three-day exam in July, 93 passed on their first try.

Additionally, Roberto Nass-Worthington, the highest ranking student in the graduating class, will deliver student remarks.

ExhibitView Solutions, LLC, provider of trial presentation software on PC and Ipad for legal professionals, has been busy this past summer contacting Law Schools to promote a new program, "The Presentation, Keep It Simple, Keep It Powerful". This program provides students and faculty a no cost license for ExhibitView PC and the upcoming ExhibitView Ipad product.

Arthur C. "Cappy" Eads, who served as district attorney in Bell County from 1976 to 2000, died Tuesday morning, Bell County Judge Jon Burrows said in a brief statement Tuesday.

Eads died at his home after a battle with cancer.
