Baylor University Law School alumnus Harper Estes has been elected president-elect of the State Bar of Texas for the 2007-2008 year. In 2008-2009, he will serve as president of the third-largest bar association in the United States.

Five Baylor Law School alumni were among the 15 Texas attorneys who were inducted as Fellows into the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), one the premier legal associations in the United States and Canada.

One-hundred percent of Baylor law students who took the Texas State Bar Exam in February passed it on their first try, according to results released by the Texas State Bar examiners. This was the highest pass rate among students from the nine Texas law schools.
