Ample supplies of chocolate brownies, cookies and Dr Pepper floats helped to launch a new tradition at Baylor Law School on May 17 when Dean Brad Toben and his administrative staff sponsored the first Dean's Reception to welcome entering students to the school.
Professor Matthew C. Cordon, associate director of the law library at Baylor Law School, has received a Distinguished Alumni Award from his undergraduate alma mater, Central Methodist University, Fayette, Mo.
Baylor law students again topped the pass rate in the latest Texas Bar Exam, achieving a 96.88 percent success rate for the bar exam taken in February this year. This is the highest pass rate among students from the nine Texas law schools who took the two-day examination.
Speaking at her last commencement ceremony Saturday (April 29) as a faculty member of Baylor Law School, Professor Melissa Essary told the 67 graduates that the title Baylor Lawyer "will follow you wherever you go."
