Hotel and Travel Information

Arrivals/Departures: Waco has a local airport (ACT), but you can also fly into Dallas (DFW or Dallas Love Field) or Austin (AUS) and drive down in 1.5-2 hours. We recommend that you plan to get to Waco by around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26 to allow time for check-in to your hotel and transportation to Baylor Law. If you plan to stay through the end of the conference (2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27), you should have plenty of time to take a flight out of Waco after 4:00 p.m., or any flight from Dallas or Austin at or after 7:00 p.m.

Conference Location: All conference sessions will be taking place at either Baylor Law School or the Baylor Club. The addresses are below, and an interactive map of campus is available here.

The address for Baylor Law School is:
1114 S. University Parks Drive, Waco, TX 76706

The address for the Baylor Club is:
1001 S. M.L.K. Jr. Blvd., Waco, TX 76704

Hotels: We recommend staying at the Hotel Indigo, conveniently located a short drive away from the law school in Waco’s warehouse district. Hotel Indigo is in the heart of downtown, just a few blocks away from Magnolia, Spice Village, and the Dr. Pepper museum. We have a room block reserved under Baylor Law Leadership Symposium. Here is the booking link for our room block: Baylor Law Leadership Symposium

The address for Hotel Indigo is:
211 Clay Ave., Waco, TX 76706

Transportation to/from the Conference: For those of you staying at Hotel Indigo, we will have shuttles running from Hotel Indigo to Baylor Law School during peak hours for the conference. A detailed shuttle schedule will be provided as we get closer to the conference but we will make sure that you have transportation when you need it. We will also provide transportation from Baylor Law School to the Baylor Club for the keynote dinner with Secretary James Baker.

Transportation around Waco: If you are renting a car and will be driving yourself to the conference, please park at the Baylor Club at McLane Stadium. The closest area to the law school is near the President’s Suite or the southeast corner of Lot 3, and the law school is a short walk across the bridge. The attached parking map shows where you can park.

Note: A major reconstruction project is underway on a stretch of Interstate 35 near campus. During ongoing construction, please plan for additional travel time and “Know Before You Go” by checking traffic conditions at waco4bmap.org.

Shopping, Dining, and Attractions: Check out some of the most popular restaurants, shops, museums, and attractions here. In addition, Katherine Sims, a double Baylor Bear and our Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, has put together a list of her favorite things to do in Waco, which you can access here.
