Laura Morrell

Serials Specialist

Laura Morrell joined the Baylor Law staff as the Serials Specialist for the Law Library in January 2020. She is responsible for receiving and shelving periodicals and updates. 

Laura was born and raised in Houston and fell in love with Baylor University during her older sister’s college visit. After graduating from Baylor in December 2010 with a BA in Film & Digital Media, Laura stayed in Waco working with the BaylorVision team providing video content for Baylor Athletics games. She joined the Waco-McLennan County Public Library in 2015 as a circulation associate before moving to the Children’s section in 2017. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Library Science part time through the University of North Texas.

Laura lives in Woodway with her high school sweetheart husband Jason and their two cats, Andy and Daisy. She loves being a part of the Waco and Baylor communities and is grateful for the opportunities she’s had to serve both. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, attending comic conventions, playing games, and watching TV.
