Miranda earned her B.A. in Journalism with a specialization in International Reporting and Photojournalism from Michigan State University in 2015. While at MSU, she worked for the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, a Department of Energy project tasked with building the world’s third largest linear accelerator. She was granted access to photograph the construction process of the accelerator as part of her senior capstone. Miranda interned with DBusiness Magazine in Detroit, was a staff writer for the Red Cedar Log and was the Co-editor for Glyph Magazine in Spring 2015. Miranda also served as a coach and executive board member of the MSU Ballroom Dance Team.
Miranda received her Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in February 2020. During her time at Baylor Law, Miranda served in leadership roles with the Student Bar Association and Baylor Public Interest Legal Society. She was a member of the Hispanic American Law Student Association and the Baylor Barrister Society. Miranda has a passion for Sports Law. After a summer internship with the PGA TOUR legal department in 2018, she created the Baylor Sports Law Society and served as president. Miranda competed as a member of the 2019 National Sports Law Negotiation Competition team and the 2018 HNBA Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition team.
Miranda was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and knows that the only correct answer to the New Mexico state question is “Christmas.” Miranda is an avid photographer and never misses the opportunity to capture the beauty of a great landscape or the smile of a friend.
