Katie Casper is the Director of Alumni Relations at Baylor Law School. She joined the law school in 2018 after leaving private practice in Waco. She is a 2007 graduate of Fordham University in NY, NY and 2010 graduate of Baylor Law School.
While at Fordham University, she interned with ABC NewsOne and Steel Media. She was awarded the Joan M. Pease Scholarship for Journalism and graduated with a BA in Communications and Media Studies with a concentration in Journalism. At Baylor Law School, she was a member of the Baylor Public Interest Legal Society, volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for McLennan County, and interned for the Honorable Gary Coley in the 74th Judicial District Court.
Throughout her eight years in private practice, she worked in the areas of family law and criminal defense. The last four years of her practice were primarily devoted to being an attorney ad litem for foster children in McLennan County, Texas. The best part of Katie’s job now is reconnecting with our Baylor Law Alumni who have gone on to do amazing work in the legal field.
Katie participates in numerous civic and professional organizations. She serves on the Executive Committee of the McLennan County Dispute Resolution Center, is a member of the Judge Abner V. McCall American Inn of Court, a member of the McLennan County Criminal Defense Legal Association and the Waco-McLennan County Bar Association.
She and her husband, Joe, live in Lorena and have two children, Hattie and John Ryan. In their free time, they love to cook, attend Baylor sporting events and host friends and family.
