Cataloging and Government Documents Librarian

Lesley has held the position of Cataloging and Government Documents Librarian since April 2009.

The Law Library serves as a selective depository for the 17th Congressional District, which provides the public and the Law School community with access to government publications and information made available through the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). As Government Documents Librarian, Lesley oversees the day-to-day operations of the federal documents collection to ensure compliance with FDLP regulations. She is also responsible for the processing and cataloging of new acquisitions and performing database maintenance for the Law Library collections.

Lesley received a B. S. in Environmental Studies from Bowling Green State University and the M. L. S. from Texas Woman’s University. Prior to coming to the Law Library, she worked for nearly 20 years on the Baylor campus in the Office of Continuing Education and as a copy cataloger in the Bibliographic Access Unit in the Central Libraries. Ms. Wilson is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) and the Southwest Association of Law Libraries (SWALL). She is also a member of the AALL Technical Services Interest Section and the AALL Government Documents Special Interest Section, and previously served as a bibliographic reviewer for the Government Documents section.

At the University level, Lesley served on the Public Exercises Committee and is currently serving a term on the Faculty Center Committee. She and her husband John are members of the Baylor 1845 Society, the Baylor Library Fellows, the Pro Texana Society, and the Bear Foundation.
