Baylor Law’s Career Development Office works with students early in the law school journey, to recognize their strengths, identify their interests, develop a career plan, and take proactive steps to help them land the positions they seek following graduation. Likewise, the CDO works with employers to make the process of identifying top-flight young lawyers simple—with free on-campus interviews, résumé collection based on each firm’s specific needs, and job postings outside of the normal on-Campus interview program.

Avery Rios of Texas Tech University School of Law Takes Top Prize in Baylor Law’s The Paper Chase Legal Writing Competition Apr. 20, 2021 Baylor Law is pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 The Paper Chase Legal Writing Competition, the most competitive legal writing contest in Texas. The Paper Chase is hosted by Baylor Law and entrants are judged by members of the Texas Young Lawyer Association (TYLA). FVF Law generously sponsors the competition’s prizes. Baylor Law’s Registrar, Jerri Cunningham, Recognized for Service to the National Network of Law School Officers Apr. 1, 2021 On Tuesday, March 30th, Jerri Cunningham, Baylor Law’s long-serving registrar, was recognized by the National Network of Law School Officers (NNLSO) for her years of service to the organization. Baylor Law Announces Participation in ‘Giving Day, 2021’ Mar. 31, 2021 Baylor Giving Day is a university-wide, 24-hour fundraising event scheduled to be held on April 14, 2021. Baylor Giving Day provides alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, and students an opportunity to be a part of Baylor’s future and impact existing and new programs, student scholarships and priority funds across the University. Baylor Law Moot Court Teams Take ‘Most Outstanding Law School Award’ at John R. Brown National Admiralty Law Moot Court Competition Mar. 29, 2021 Grant Jones & Caroline Lowery advanced to the final round of the competition, finishing in 2nd place. Brief writer Elizabeth Allen was awarded Best Petitioner’s Brief. A second Baylor Law team, Sarah Cureton and Asher Miller, advanced to the quarterfinals, and was named Second Best Oral Advocacy Team. Asher was named the Second-Best Advocate of the competition.
