Steven R. Guy, JD ’81, has opened Steven R. Guy & Associates PLLC, in Jacksonville, Texas. Steven was previously a partner in Norman, Angle, Guy & Brewer.
Hon. Rhonda Hurley, JD ’84, of the Travis County, 98th District Court, was selected as the Innovator of the Year Award recipient during the 8th annual Justice Innovation Awards ceremony at the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges 85th Annual Conference. Judge Hurley was recognized for her work and efforts to innovatively rethink, reimagine, and redefine justice for children and families, thus advancing the NCJFCJ’s vision - a society in which every family and child has access to fair, equal, effective, and timely justice.
Jeffrey R. “Jeff” Cox, JD ’87 has been named Executive Vice President & Trust Officer of Community Bank & Trust in Waco. Jeff previously practiced law with Sheehy, Lovelace & Mayfield, P.C. where he served as the Bank’s chief outside general counsel before transitioning to the head of the Bank’s Wealth Management and Trust Department.
Hon. Alfonso Charles, JD ’90, was reappointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve as the Presiding Judge for the 10th Administrative Judicial Region for the State of Texas.
April F. Robbins, JD ’90, has joined Cantey Hanger as a partner in the litigation section. She has practiced insurance defense litigation for more than 30 years.
Hon. Leigh Thomas, JD ’99, serves as an Administrative Law Judge for Administrative Procedures Division for Tennessee Secretary of State.
Brannon Dillard, JD ’04, recently joined Dallas-based Shackelford, Bowen, McKinley & Norton as a partner in the firm’s Houston office.
Brad J. Robinson, JD ’06, was named Co-Managing Partner for Sbaiti & Company in Dallas. Brad handles commercial litigation and personal injury matters while focusing on optimizing business operations (internal) and client development (external).
Devon Sharp, JD ’07, has joined Galderma Laboratories, L.P. as Associate General Counsel.
Robert L. Green, JD ’13, is one of the founding partners of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter, & Hampton, LLP’s new Houston office. He is a member of the Intellectual Property practice group.
Ashley N. Ischy, JD ’15, has joined Coghlan Crowson LLP in Longview, Texas. Her primary areas of practice include oil and gas and complex commercial and consumer litigation.
