Baylor Law Secures Another Two-Year, $135,000 Grant from the Texas Access to Justice Foundation to Support the Veterans Clinic
The Texas Access to Justice Foundation has announced its continued support of Baylor Law’s Veterans Clinic program. This grant allows Baylor Law and its Veterans Clinic to continue its monthly clinical program for local veterans to receive legal advice and counsel from faculty and local attorneys with assistance from law students. . . Baylor Law Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month

September 15th marked the start of Hispanic Heritage month, a four-week cultural celebration that runs through October 15th. To celebrate, Baylor Law’s Hispanic Law Student Association (HALSA) is hosting several events for the Baylor Law community to shed light on the contributions that the Hispanic and Latino cultures have brought to the United States. . . Michaelina Sirkel and Amanda Hildebrand Take Top Spots in Baylor Law's 2021 Dawson & Sodd Fall Moot Court Competition
Baylor Law's annual Dawson & Sodd, LLP Moot Court Competition, a week-long intramural event held every fall, ended on Monday, September 27th, with students Michaelina Sirkel and Amanda Hildebrand winning the top spots. The team of Victor Jarvis and Hope Burkhalter took 2nd place. . . Full Story

Susan J. Lambert Barnett, JD ’89, recently made partner in the faith-based Estate Planning and Elder Law firm of Haiman Hogue, PLLC in Frisco, TX.
Dick Tye, JD ’89, has joined Clark Hill PLC in San Antonio as Of Counsel in the Tax and Estate Planning practice. He is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law and Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is past president of the San Antonio Estate Planners Council and currently serves as president of the Baylor Law Alumni Association.
Deborah M. Perry, JD ’97, with Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. in Dallas, has been named a Texas Super Lawyer for 2021 in the area of Bankruptcy. She was also recognized in the list of Top Women Attorneys in the area of Business Bankruptcy.
Christopher B. Trowbridge, JD ’98, managing partner with Bell Nunnally in Dallas, has been named to the 2021 Texas Super Lawyers list in the area of Business Litigation. He was also included on the Super Lawyers Top 100 Dallas/Fort Worth list.
Steven Ogle, JD ’05, has been promoted to the role of Deputy Director at the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission. He will also continue to serve as General Counsel.
