The Honorable Stephen B. Ables was recently reappointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott as Presiding Administrative Judge of the 6th Judicial Region of Texas. Judge Ables was the Judge of the 216th District Court prior to retiring after 20 years of service.
Ashley Chapman Hoff was appointed United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas. Ashley has spent 26 years as a public servant and prosecutor. She has been with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas for more than 17 years.
Wade Emmert, board-certified Health Law attorney, has joined Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, LLP as partner in the firm’s Dallas office. Wade also serves as an adjunct professor at the Texas A&M University School of Law where he teaches courses on Health Care Transactions and Antitrust, and Health Care Fraud and Abuse. He has been recognized on Thomson Reuters’ Texas Super Lawyers listing and among the top 1 percent of America’s Most Honored Professionals.
Craig D. Cherry joined Steckler Wayne Cochran Cherry, PLLC.
Leslie L. Hunt serves as the Civil Division Chief for the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. In that role she leads a team of 30 Assistant Criminal District Attorneys who provide legal representation to Tarrant County on a variety of topics, including employment related matters. Leslie was recently selected for inclusion in the 2020 Texas Super Lawyers list and as a Top Attorney in Employment Law by Fort Worth Magazine in 2020.
Whitney Keltch Green, family law attorney, has joined Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, LLP as partner in the firm’s Dallas office. Her work has earned recognition from the Best Lawyers in America in Family Law for 2020 and 2021, D Magazine’s Best Lawyers Under 40, and Thomson Reuters’ Texas Rising Stars. Whitney is also the President of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.
Adrienne Griffis has been elected to partnership in the Little Rock law firm of Dover Dixon Horne. She practices family law.
Taylor Lyons Mohr has been selected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Taylor Thompson was named a non-equity partner at Provost Umphrey Law Firm LLP. He specializes in personal injury law. Taylor coaches Beaumont’s Kelly High School mock trial team and serves on the board of directors for the Jefferson County Young Lawyers Association.
Caitlin Morrell has joined Fenley & Bate, L.L.P. in Lufkin, Texas, as an associate attorney.
