Adoption Day at Baylor Law: I'll Be Home for Christmas
In 2008, Professor Bridget Fuselier, JD '98, founded Baylor Law's Adoption Day program when she hosted an event to celebrate the adoption of 15 children in McLennan County. Eleven years later, Baylor Law's Adoption Day is still a beacon of light in the community. In 2018, 30 children were adopted in a celebration themed "I'll Be Home for Christmas." In total, the adoptions of 285 children have been finalized during Baylor Law's Adoption Day. . . More Photos
Baylor Law Family Shares Christmas Joy With Local Elementary School Children
For the seventh consecutive year, Baylor Law and the Baylor Law Student Bar Association (SBA) partnered with the Valley Mills H-E-B Plus! to raise money for new Christmas gifts for approximately 900 children at Baylor Law's Waco ISD Adopt-A-School, Bell's Hill Elementary.
For many years, Baylor Law also has hosted the Bell's Hill Christmas Choir for a performance and luncheon at the Law Center. Baylor Law faculty, staff, and students gathered in the student lounge as the choir sang numerous Christmas carols. The children received a limited-edition Baylor Law t-shirt and were then served a holiday feast.
A special thank you to Meredith Meyer, Baylor Law's special events coordinator and office manager, and the faculty, staff, SBA officers, and law students who graciously shared their time and resources to bring Christmas joy to the children of Bell's Hill.
