Baylor Law Ranks in Top Five in Trial Advocacy, #50 Overall in National U.S. News Rankings
Baylor Law climbed into the Top 50 in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Law Schools" listing for 2019. In the law specialties rankings, Baylor Law's trial advocacy program remains one of the top five programs in the nation.
The U.S. News rankings of 194 law schools fully accredited by the American Bar Association are based on a weighted average of the 12 measures of quality. Data were collected in fall 2017 and early 2018. Specialty rankings are based solely on nominations by legal educators at peer institutions. . . Full Story
Baylor Law Student, Gracie Wood, Honored as "Law Student of the Year" by National Jurist Magazine
Baylor Law's Gracie Wood was named one of National Jurist magazine's "Law Students of the Year." The designation recognizes Wood and 20 other law students from across the country who excel in leadership, focus, and commitment to justice.
Wood serves as the Executive President of the Student Bar Association, Executive Editor of Baylor Law Review, and President of the Public Interest Legal Society. Wood's true passion is advocating on behalf of abused and neglected children. She has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for four years. Wood has contributed over 500 hours of pro bono services during her time at Baylor Law.

Baylor Law and LEAD Counsel welcomed Kirsta Melton, Deputy Criminal Chief of the Human Trafficking and Transnational/Organized Crime Section of the Office of the Texas Attorney General, who shared information on human trafficking in Texas, and how to recognize the potential red flags and indicators of human trafficking. . .
