Thomas "Tom" Myers, a shareholder in the firm of Brackett & Ellis, P.C. in Fort Worth, TX, was recognized by Texas Monthly and Super Lawyers as a Super Lawyer in the field of School and Education Law in 2017. He has been recognized in that field each year since 2005.
Dale Hetzler was named executive director of the Chattanooga-based Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.
Van Graham was named dean of the School of Business at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.
John Burkhead of The Law Offices of Frank L. Branson was named to D Magazine's 2018 Best Lawyers Under 40 list of up-and-coming attorneys in North Texas. Burkhead's practice focuses on high-stakes personal injury litigation and business disputes.
Eric Bruntmyer has served as President of Hardin-Simmons University since June 2016. He and his wife, Elise, live on-campus in Abilene, Texas with their five children.
Laura Hallmon of Cantey Hanger, became board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Marissa Sandoval Rodriguez of McAllen, Texas, was named partner at the law firm of Cacheaux, Cavazos & Newton, LLP. Her practice focuses on advising clients from the U.S. and Mexico on domestic and international transactions, particularly with respect to the corporate, real estate, and international law issues. .
Heath Cheek, partner at Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP, was named to D Magazine's "Best Lawyers Under 40 in Dallas" list. He has been named a "Texas Rising Star" annually since 2014.
Allison Dickson was honored as the Distinguished Baylor Woman at the 24th Annual Central Texas Baylor Club Ladies Scholarship Brunch. Her mother, Johnnie Dickson, was honored as a Baylor Woman of Excellence.
Justin Bradford Smith with Harrell, Stoebner & Russell, P.C. in Temple, Texas, became board certified in criminal appellate law.
