R. Heath Cheek of Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP, served as vice-chair of the State Fair of Texas Development Team. The 24-day fair - one of the largest annual events in the world and the biggest in Texas - raised $1.2 million to support scholarships for inner city Dallas and rural Texas students attending in-state colleges and universities. The Development Team was tasked with helping raise funds through Fair activities such as the Youth Livestock Auction, the Big Tex Golf Classic, the Champion's Club Dinner and the Big Tex Sporting Clay Shoot.
