Speaker to focus on global trade

The Canadian Consul General in Dallas will speak on international trade issues of the 21st century at 2 p.m. today in Kayser Auditorium.

Allan S. Poole is Canada's senior diplomat in the states of Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Poole is responsible for Canada's political and media relations for trade and investment promotion, and for consular activities.

Heath Keagan Davis' arraignment in connection with an intoxication manslaughter charge was postponed Tuesday at the request of Davis' lawyer, Jim James. No date has been set for when he will be arraigned.

Davis was driving a motorcycle that former freshman Jonathan Graham Hatfield was riding when the motorcycle collided with a sport utility vehicle that was pulling out of a private driveway Sept. 3. Hatfield died as a result of the accident.

Chapel-Forum will host premier Christian illusionist Andre Kole at 10 and 11 a.m. today. Kole was regarded as one of the best illusionist in the world when he became a Christian. He has appeared on national television in 43 countries and performed live in 73 countries on five continents.
