Men's golf team comes in third

The Baylor men's golf team finished third in the Rice Intercollegiate at Meadowbrook Farms Golf Course on Tuesday with a 292 team score.

Senior Jimmy Walker and freshman Will Doughtie tied for seventh place in the tournament, with 218 round totals. Freshman Jon Antunes tied for 10th place with a score of 219, while sophomore Ash Serur finished tied for 13th with a one-under par final round.

The team's next tournament will be on Feb. 19 and 20, when the the Bears travel to the Southwest Texas State Invitational in Victoria.

Miller and White, Big 12 Pitchers of the Week

This week Baylor swept the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Week honors, as softball pitcher Joni Miller and baseball pitcher, right-hander Steven White were named pitchers of the week on Tuesday.

Miller was sterling in last weekend's UT-Arlington/Isuzu Motors Intercollegiate Classic in Arlington. She went 3-0 with a save and a 1.03 ERA in two days. Miller is 5-1 on the season.

White got the win in a 5-0 Baylor victory over California State University at Fullerton on Saturday. In the game he gave up only two hits in seven innings, while walking four and striking out five Titan hitters. He improved to 2-0 on the season with the victory
