Men's soccer to battle A&M in final home game

The Baylor men's club soccer team will close out its home season with a showdown against Texas A&M University on Saturday.

Match time is set for 1 p.m. at the soccer fields by the Baylor Marina.

The two teams have talent in addition to their rivalry -- Baylor is currently the No. 4-ranked team in region IV of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association, while Texas A&M holds the No. 5 spot.

Senior midfielder Gina Castellano was named to Soccer America's Team of the Week for Sept. 25-Oct. 1.

Castellano notched the game-winning goal in the 86th minute of Baylor's upset over No. 9-ranked Texas A&M University on Sunday. It was her second tally of the year, and both have clinched victories for Baylor.

The Bears continue Big 12 play this weekend with matches against the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University.

With a three-set win, 15-11, 17-15, 15-7, the Baylor volleyball team improved its record to a game above .500 in the Big 12 at 4-3 and 6-5 overall. Junior setter Dana Chuha turned in 47 assists, while senior outside hitter Dana Atkinson turned in 13 digs. Up next for the Bears is a home match against Texas A&M on Saturday.
