What started as a campus revival many years ago has developed into Christian Focus Week sponsored by the University.

Christian Focus Week kicked off Monday in Chapel-Forum with the Rev. Don Guthrie, from First Baptist Church of San Antonio, giving an Easter Service message.

Also, today at 3 p.m., students can meet at the Fountain Mall for a prayer walk.

Students will walk to the main academic buildings and pray for professors and students in the buildings.

'We hope that this week causes students to stop and think about their commitment to Christ and about His commitment to us,' said Kaci Sohrt, an Alvin junior.

The committee for Christian Focus Week will also present Caedmon's Call in concert at 7:30 tonight in Waco Hall.

'I think it's great that the University sponsors Focus Week, and I am excited about the concert tonight. How wonderful is it that I can go to a Christian university that is proud of its Christian heritage,' said Christy Britton, a Colorado Springs, Colo., sophomore.
