Fans Coming to Campus

I-35 Construction Update: Expect reduced lanes and closures throughout the Waco area. Please plan extra time to get to the stadium in time for pre-game activities.

Step 1: Be aware of road closures that will affect your parking options:

With the ongoing I-35 construction through Waco, it is advised to KNOW BEFORE YOU GO. Check real-time traffic conditions on I-35 at https://waco4bmap.org and follow @TxDOTWacoPIO on Twitter for up-to-date lane closure and construction information. Sign up for TxDOT email and text alerts at www.My35.org/Waco.

Before you make your way to McLane Stadium, check the following resources:

  • McLane Stadium Directions/Parking on BaylorBears.com
  • WAZE APP: Waze has been specifically updated to get you to your pre-purchased parking location in the most time efficient manner! This system takes into consideration I-35 construction, game day road closures and corridor capacity that are not available and/or used by other mapping websites or GPS systems. Do not use other internet mapping applications; they may bring you into congestion. Please select your parking location (Ferrell Center, Dutton, etc.), not McLane Stadium.

Step 2: Know your parking options:
Gameday parking at McLane Stadium will generally fall into three categories:

  1. Season-long Parking Passes

Premium seat holders and season-long tailgaters have assigned spots on the stadium side of the Brazos River. Other prepaid or reserved parking lots, Baylor Law School, Ferrell Center, Robinson Tower, Dutton Avenue Parking Facility, and Speight Plaza Parking Garage, require a parking credential for each game. There are no available day-of-game parking spots in these locations. Fans with pre-paid parking credentials are encouraged to use the WAZE APP. Before you make your way to McLane Stadium this season, please plan your route and parking carefully as road closures will be enacted for Baylor football game days.

  2. Free Parking in Non-Reserved Lots

Campus: Fans can seek a limited number of parking spaces on campus (other than a designated prepaid or reserved site).

Downtown Waco: A sizable number of free, off-street parking spaces, centered around the intersection of 3rd Street and Franklin Avenue are available. Visit the Getting Around Downtown Waco website for additional information.

  3. Paid Parking in other locations

In the Olive Heights area of East Waco, adjacent to McLane Stadium, smaller lots offer a variety of options on a first-come-first served basis within walking distance of the stadium. Street parking will not be allowed in the neighborhood, but area residents will be able to charge for on-site parking at individual homes. Some third parties and individuals already have opened lots of various sizes near McLane Stadium.

Fans with handicapped parking permits will be able to park in a paid lot at the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (north of campus, near the intersection of I-35 and Highway 77) and ride a wheelchair-friendly shuttle right up to the stadium.

Step 3: Determine how to get from your parking location to McLane Stadium
Most parking locations are within a 25-minute walk to the stadium and fans are encouraged to walk along the paths designated with gameday banners. Shuttles from downtown, campus locations and the BRIC will run at various locations and times prior to kickoff and after the game. For more information about shuttles please click here.

Step 4: What if I get into a reserved lot and my car gets relocated
If you believe your vehicle has been relocated, please call Tow King at 254-666-5484.
