The Learning Resource Center (LRC) in Baylor’s School of Education began offering a new “Call Ahead” service for teaching associates and interns (juniors and seniors in education) in the fall.
Since the School of Education's new teacher education program requires these students to spend much of their time in the public schools, the LRC staff began looking for ways to help them make use of the library's extensive resources and enhance their lesson preparations. Now these students can call or e-mail the LRC with a subject they will be teaching and the staff will pull materials on that topic. Students can then come in and choose the resources that will be most useful.
Because their time on campus is so limited, the students are welcoming this new service.
