Memorial Endowment Honors the Herrings

Certain people we meet in life have a profound influence on us. For many, two such individuals were Jack and Daphne Herring. The Herrings served Baylor for more than 25 years, leaving enduring evidence of their special service.

Jack was the director of the Armstrong Browning Library, where he devoted his efforts to building a world-class Browning collection. He was also an English professor. Daphne taught in the School of Business and developed many programs linking Baylor to her alumni and the community. The Herrings’ influence also extended abroad where they administered the Baylor in London program and taught in China.

Friends, family and colleagues of the Herrings have created an endowment for the Armstrong Browning Library honoring Jack and Daphne. Interest income from the endowment will help ensure that the ABL continues to acquire world-class materials for scholars of today and tomorrow.

For more information about the endowment, please contact one of the Jack and Daphne Herring Memorial Fund Committee members, James LeMaster, Jerrie Callan, Rachel Moore or James Barcus, or Mary Goolsby in the Library Advancement Office 254-710-6735.
