Ronan Tynan Amazes Attendees

Dr. Ronan Tynan, author of Halfway Home: My Life Til Now, was the featured speaker of the 2007 Ferguson-Clark Author Series held at Waco Hall on Nov. 8. An internationally renowned tenor, Tynan wowed the audience with his renditions of “Isle of Hope” and “God Bless America.” Tynan also shared his inspiring story of growing up in Ireland with a lower-leg deformity and subsequent double amputation. He not only shared his experiences, but also imparted the lessons he learned from them and encouraged the audience to never give up on their dreams.

The proceeds from the Ferguson-Clark Author Series are designated to be used for a student-centered project. The Tynan Lecture proceeds will be used for the renovations of the garden level of Moody Library.
