Adobe Removes Individual Signature Functionality

July 14, 2020

Under Baylor's current Adobe license, users have been able to request digital signatures on documents using the Adobe Sign functionality built into Acrobat. Some time during the week of July 20, this functionality within Adobe Acrobat will no longer be available.

Adobe plans to transition this functionality from Adobe Acrobat to an enterprise level Adobe Sign solution that allows for more robust security and management tools. Baylor's current licensing agreement with Adobe does not include access to this new functionality.

Users who have received signed documents through the Adobe Document Cloud will still be able to access them. Once Adobe removes digital signatures from Acrobat, Baylor users may no longer be able to request signatures on documents using the Adobe platform.
