As of September 13, 2004, Exchange accounts for former students were deleted and email accounts for these former students were created on the Bearmail server. An email was sent to the former students affected by this change, with instructions on how to move their emails, calendars, contacts, etc. from the Exchange server to the Bearmail server.
Even though the email accounts were moved to a different server, the email addresses remain the same. ITS will continue to provide support for the Baylor email accounts that were affected by this change.
The email accounts affected were those of former students who had not been enrolled for two consecutive terms. Baylor's license agreement with Microsoft only allows Exchange accounts for current students, faculty, and staff.
Unlike the Exchange accounts, there is no web interface for Bearmail accounts. Former students can no longer check their email at https://mail.baylor.edu. To check email on a Bearmail account, Outlook or some other email client must configured to use an IMAP or POP server. Click here
