Update on Email Outage

Status Update at 2:00 PM 3/15/2012

During the planned outage of university email Monday evening, issues were encountered that required email services to remain down for longer than anticipated. ITS staff members worked through the night with Microsoft support personnel to resolve the situation and email is now processing normally. No email messages were lost.

As a result of the upgrades last night, some users may need to make adjustments in order to connect mobile devices.

• Android users will need to update their server name setting to legacy.baylor.edu in order to synchronize their Android device email with their Baylor Exchange email account.

• iPhone or iPad users running a version of IOS prior to 4.3.2 will need to upgrade their operating system.
