MISSION STATEMENT

The Information Systems & Services department provides information technology solutions and services which sustain and enhance the administrative operations of Baylor University business, academic and service units and contribute to the success of the overall University vision. These services include analysis, design, programming, implementation, maintenance, training, database management and administration, information access, consulting, and project management. Additionally, these solutions and processes provide management information in support of decision-making, assessment, and planning.

In support of this mission, our goals are:

  • To plan for information systems, including evaluation and recommendation of appropriate new technologies;
  • To consult with campus clients on information technology-related issues including the study of available software to meet ad hoc and continuing needs in the client offices;
  • To work with other ITS sections to coordinate the development and implementation of information systems;
  • To supply the information resources necessary for the University to meet applicable state and federal governmental requirements;
  • To work with campus clients to maintain consistent, complete, and meaningful University data resources;
  • To maintain a well-trained and professional staff by providing appropriate development and training opportunities;
  • To be proactive in supporting the uses of information systems for the improvement of University processes and procedures;
  • To be recognized as excellent for providing high quality services and achieving customer satisfaction.

    • Management of the Professional & Organizational Development training videos check-out program
