General policies for course evaluations are set by the Office of the Provost. Institutional Research has additional policies and procedures in place to ensure that the actual conduct of the evaluations is handled efficiently and confidentially.

POLICY GUIDELINES from the Baylor Faculty Handbook

Because Baylor University emphasizes the importance of great teaching, faculty members should explore ways to develop, maintain, and improve instruction. Course evaluations provide an important means by which faculty can measure the effectiveness of their instruction. For this reason, instructors of record will participate in course evaluations, administered by the Office of Institutional Research, in all sections taught regardless of instructor rank, class size, or type of course.

Course Evaluation Request Forms

*For Fall and Spring semesters only: the Early Request Form can be submitted by Department Chairs to request evaluations prior to the end of the semester. Early requests for Fall and Spring semesters are due to Melinda Dunn (Melinda_Dunn@baylor.edu) by the fourth week of class.
