IMLC Workshop Dec. 2021

IMLC Workshop
December 9, 2021

10:00-10:30 Demo: Digital Whiteboard for Classroom Activities - presented by Jim Kumahata.
During the pandemic, we lost the opportunities for students to go to the whiteboard and write individually or collaboratively. A free tool, whiteboard.fi, has become a helpful tool recently. Jim will demonstrate the tool and the participants will have hands-on experience.

10:30-11:30 Faculty Presentation: Escape from the Language Class if You Can! - presented by Laura Fraga

Virtual escape rooms are a great tool to help students review grammar and vocabulary in context in a memorable, engaging and fun way.  This session is designed to help faculty design a virtual escape room (VER) for their language class using Google forms. Participants will see an example of a virtual escape room with a story line, puzzles, and clues.
