Interactive Media & Language Center

The interactive Media and Language Center serves the students and faculty of the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures. The facility is located on the third floor of the Draper Academic Building, suite 356 and room 355. The Center strives to be a model for technology-assisted language teaching and learning. MLC students are encouraged and supported in their language-learning journey while faculty members are encouraged and supported in their language acquisition pedagogy and associated technology.

The iMLC provides the following (but not limited to):

  • Three computer classrooms.
  • On-campus location to take the language placement test.
  • Collaborative space where you can watch foreign films together with your classmates, work on group projects, etc.
  • Study space, including printers (color and BW), whiteboards, and charging stations.
  • VR goggles, language resources and other technical resources.
  • Consultation on developing and delivering OER content.

IMLC Normal Operation

The iMLC operates on the schedule posted below. The iMLC is closed for Baylor holidays, during the semester breaks, and other official campus closures. We also operate under special hours on the end-of-semester study days and during the final exam period.

Fall/Spring Semester Hours
Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Summer Semester Hours
Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
