Spotlight: Oracle Cloud Video Features Baylor's Ignite

Oracle Corp., our primary partner and creator of the Ignite cloud system, recently sent a Los Angeles-based film crew to our campus to spotlight the Ignite team and our work on this transformational initiative. The result is two beautiful videos that tell why Ignite is critical for Baylor as we strive to be the preeminent Christian research university.

Six Guiding Principles: Transformation

Transformation Icon

The decisions around Ignite have been driven by adhering to the Six Guiding Principles of the project. By focusing on one area each month, we will highlight how these principles have been put into practice. The third principle is Transformation.

The future state design is not constrained by the status quo. All business processes are "on the table" and Baylor is focused on the possible. We are transforming the way the University spends its budgeted funds. Through Ignite, we are analyzing all of our business processes and building a procure-to-pay system that leverages best in class technology solutions with Baylor-focused, best practices. From an optimized contract lifecycle management process, and marketplace purchasing, to best in class payment processes, Ignite is truly transforming how Baylor conducts business. The Marketplace mentioned above is a powerful example of Transformation.
