Institute for Faith and Learning Announces Spring 2010 Reading Groups

January 19, 2010
The Institute for Faith and Learning cordially invites interested faculty and staff to participate in reading groups we will be hosting during the Spring 2010 semester. One group will be reading Elizabeth Newman's Untamed Hospitality: Welcoming God and Other Strangers. The initial meeting for this group will be on Wednesday, February 3 at 3:00 p.m. in room B19 in the Tidwell Bible Building. The other group will focus on James K. A. Smith's new book, Desiring the Kingdom: Worship, Worldview, and Cultural Formation. The first meeting for this group will be on Friday, February 5 at 3:00 p.m. in the Lipscomb Room on the third floor of the Bill Daniel Student Center. Following the initial meetings, each group will meet every two to three weeks thereafter.

Copies of the books will be provided free to participants, but space is limited and available on a first come basis.

If you are interested, please contact the IFL's administrative associate, Vickie Schulz, by e-mail or phone (x. 4805) so that we may plan for your participation.
