Student Life/Academic Success Assessment
The purpose of student life and academic success assessment is to evaluate and improve the support services offered by the university to students and faculty. Assessment for these units combines elements from each of the other areas of assessment, including: student learning/success outcomes, general education outcomes, and administrative/operational outcomes. At Baylor, these departments largely fall under the Division of Student Life and the Paul L. Foster Success Center.
Annual Assessment Reports
Student and academic services units may use the same SLOPE report template as academic units. Usually there are more administrative outcomes assessed, with one or more student learning/success outcomes added as appropriate to the mission of the unit. The template functions as an executive summary or cover page that highlights important elements of the requirements, but also allows departments to attach a more complete report that may be more useful for internal purposes.
