Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)

The purpose of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is to demonstrate Baylor’s capability to initiate, implement, and assess a major project aimed at improving student learning. Building on Baylor’s mission, the institutional vision established in Pro Futuris, and the work of the 2012-13 Task Force on International Education, our QEP is aimed at further enhancing the global engagement of our students. Jeff Hamilton, Vice Provost for Global Engagement, has led the development of the QEP through two stages. First, a QEP Working Group appointed by the Executive Vice President & Provost identified a specific area of focus within Global Engagement in Fall, 2015. During the Spring 2016 semester, a QEP Steering Committee crafted a proposal that includes specific goals, measureable student learning outcomes, an assessment plan, and a budget. Following a period of review by faculty, staff, and students, the steering committee revised the proposal and submitted it to the provost on December 15, 2016. We look forward to the review of our proposal by the SACSCOC On-Site Committee in the spring of 2018 and the launch of the QEP in August 2018.
