Ruben Sanchez

Ruben Sanchez Jr. serves as Associate Pastor at Harvest Christian Center in El Paso TX. His primary role is in outreach to the surrounding community. Ruben has served El Paso in social services for the past 20 years, working in the areas of public housing, legal guardianship, and hunger relief. He has played a vital role in raising awareness of the food security situation in far west Texas. He was the founding Executive Director of the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank before serving with Baylor's Texas Hunger Initiative (now the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty.) At BCHP he was the El Paso Regional Director, where he helped establish the Community Partner Program, worked with Hunger Free Community Coalitions, and oversaw child hunger efforts. 

Prior to working in ministry and hunger-related causes, Ruben had a career in retail management. He is a life-long El Pasoan, a graduate of Park University with a degree in Social Psychology. He has recently completed 84 hours of Ministerial Studies at Global University to receive his Ordination Level Credentials. Ruben is the proud father of Sarah and has been married to his wife, Crystal, for 26 years.
