Kristen Chan is the Coalition Child Hunger Specialist for the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty, working in the North Texas office. Kristen works with communities to fight hunger with a focus on Child Hunger Outreach, while also providing support to the North Texas team’s coalition work. Prior to joining the BCHP team, Kristen worked in nutrition education for the North Texas Food Bank. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition. In her junior year of college, she worked as an after-school program instructor with IT’S TIME TEXAS, teaching kids about nutrition and health. That’s where she developed a deep desire to serve the people who experience food insecurity and she loves seeing others be able to create a lasting, healthy lifestyle.
