Kerstie Nichols is the Child Hunger Specialist for the Houston Regional office of the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty. Kerstie works with communities to fight food insecurity by increasing participation in summer meals, after-school meals, and school breakfast programs. Prior to joining the BCHO team, Kerstie worked in early education. Kerstie’s career included work in Early Head Start and advocacy work for children with disabilities. Kerstie earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky in Dietetics. She received a Masters of Public Health focused in Global Health emphasis Maternal and Child Health from the University of Louisville.
