Eric Meyer

Dr. Eric Meyer is a clinical psychologist whose research focuses on functional rehabilitation in trauma-exposed populations, particularly war veterans and emergency responders. He is the Associate Director of the Warriors Research Institute at Baylor Scott & White Health, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Texas A&M Health Science Center, Associate Research Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Baylor University, and a clinical research psychologist at the Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 17 Center of Excellence for Research on Returning War Veterans. He is experienced in providing evidence-based clinical care and rehabilitation strategies and in researching factors that influence long-term mental health and recovery. His expertise includes severe mental illness such as psychotic and bipolar illnesses, posttraumatic stress disorder and commonly co-occurring mental health and substance use problems, and risk for suicide.
