Kathy Krey, Ph.D.

Dr. Kathy Krey is an assistant research professor and serves as the Senior Director of Research & Administration for the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger & Poverty. She oversees a diverse portfolio encompassing public service, research, and evaluation projects on food security topics, including child nutrition programs and multi-sector collaborations. Krey also serves as affiliate faculty for the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work and as graduate faculty for the Department of Sociology at Baylor. She has testified before the House Committee on Education and Labor and before the National Commission on Hunger on the importance of public-private partnerships and child nutrition programs. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in marketing and sociology respectively and earned a Ph.D. in Applied Sociology from Baylor University.
