Students who study bioinformatics are exposed to an intellectually rich curriculum that covers major portions of traditional computer science, molecular biology, genetics, and organic chemistry within the context of Baylor's long-established liberal arts environment. Bioinformatics majors have the opportunity to participate in Baylor's active bioinformatics research program, enter into exciting summer internship programs, and contribute to the Christian mission of Baylor by volunteering with Baylor's undergraduate bioinformatics club.
Students who wish to pursue a profession within bioinformatics can find additional information through the School of Engineering and Computer Science, specifically the Department of Computer Science.
