Caitlin Lawrence joined the Honors Residential College staff in the fall of 2015. She earned her BA and MA in Organizational Communication from Pepperdine University. After graduating, Caitlin served five years as a Visiting Instructor at Pepperdine in the Communication division. While teaching at Pepperdine, she served as the Faculty in Residence in Heidelberg, Germany in Spring 2011. She also served on an interdisciplinary taskforce to create Pepperdine’s Year2Malibu program, which provides second-year students with experiences focused on faith, belonging, diversity, mentoring and integration. Caitlin is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the English department at Baylor University and teaches First-Year Writing and British Literature. Her doctoral research examines female fairy-tale writers from seventeenth-century France and eighteenth- and nineteenth-century England. As the Graduate Assistant Program Director in the Honors Residential College, Caitlin’s roles include mentoring students, advising the Fifth Floor and overseeing the Spring mission trip, and working alongside student leaders to create meaningful programs.
